This notice is issued in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) of India. JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) — Online acts as the Data Fiduciary for personal data collected through mba.jain-online.com.

Purposes of processing: We process personal data strictly for (a) admissions processing and applicant evaluation, (b) delivery of the Online MBA, BBA, BCom, BCA, MCom and MCA programs and related academic services, (c) learner support and grievance redressal, (d) statutory reporting to UGC, AICTE and NAAC, and (e) marketing communications where you have provided explicit consent.

Retention periods: Applicant data is retained for three (3) years after the close of the admissions cycle. Enrolled-student academic records are retained per UGC norms for long-term archival. Marketing consent data is retained until you withdraw consent.

Your rights as a Data Principal: You have the right to (i) access the personal data we hold about you, (ii) correct inaccurate or incomplete data, (iii) request erasure of data no longer required, (iv) withdraw consent at any time, (v) nominate a legal heir to exercise these rights in the event of your death or incapacity, and (vi) lodge a grievance with our Grievance Officer or with the Data Protection Board of India.
